HEALTH UNIT 3:

Life Learning Choices

Inspirational Quotes Project

First Project:                                    Second Project:

Photo Story 3 Video                       Poster Creation

Objective: This project is meant to inspire your fellow students to greatness, learn cooperation, learn some computer skills and gain an appreciation for the wisdom that has come before us.

Part I: Quotes (20 Points)

  • ·         Find enough quotes to fill the length of your song (approx. 15 to 20).
  • ·         Not all quotes are equal. Find quotes that inspire us to become more than we are, oh, and appropriate!
  • ·         The quotes should relate to learning, school, the heart, growing, caring, helping, etc…

Part II: Pictures (10 points)

  • ·         Find appropriate pictures that add meaning to each of your quotes
  • ·         Each quote should have its own picture.
  • ·         The file size of all pictures must be between 1000Kb (1MB) and 100Kb. No larger, no smaller.
  • ·         Poor quality video (less than 100kb) looks terrible and large video makes your projects file size, way too large.
  • ·         If you need to edit the size of your pictures you will use Microsoft photo Editor. Ask me if you need help.

Part III: Song (10 points)

  • ·         Choose a song that is appropriate background music to your quotes and pictures
  • ·         It should not be over powering.
  • ·         The lyrics must be appropriate.
  • ·         The file needs to be brought to the school as an MP3, wave or WMV file.

Part IV: Movie making (30 Points)

  • ·         Use Photo Story 3 to put this all together
  • ·         You must be able to read the entire quote on each slide. DO NOT cut them off.
  • ·         Leave each quote on long enough so that everyone can read it and think about it. NO longer than 10 seconds.
  • ·         You should use motion on your slides.
  • ·         Transitions are optional but should not take away from your presentation. Often they can make your presentation look unprofessional, so use them carefully.
  • ·         Create a tile slide for your video.
  • ·         Create a last slide for your bibliography, listing and thanking all your sources for the content of quotes, pictures and music.
